fire kid is meaning they act like they are perfect and never made the same mistakes young people make today. They tend to get lost in their "act" of proving to everyone they changed their lives.

how are they doing this ?....... i believe church folks need to stop watching other church folks and let people live..... "they is act too save".....maybe they just want to set good examples......i mean if people living right, in church, shouting in praising God they fake and too save.....if they out partying n thing.....they hypocrytes.....i am glad we serve God and not man because man is impossible to please....

it's one thing to be a good example and it's another to belittle people. Everyone make mistakes but what we are saying is don't make it same as though we are the only ones that are makings mistakes. If I ask you a question maybe because I'm lost in that area, i would want an answer i wouldn't want you to say well that don't happen to me or I can't help you because i don't experience that. We never said they were fake. Yes i am glad as well that we serves God and man.

well chile please lol...
anyways i must agree that the church is maybe the hardest place for a sinner to go. example i walk in church every head turns looks me from head to toe "girl thats so an so daughter?" "vel what she wearin?" "lawd i hear she is trouble?" etc
church people, christians, followers, whatever we call them...i have experienced this first hand. i am a 19 year old mother and i have dealt with christians telling me i should give my baby up, people told my parents to make me stay at home because if other girls saw me in church they would get the wrong idea ( a deacon ), i think that the people who gossip and put people down the most are found in the front pews...and THAT is what needs to change.
as a christian your job is to uplift people and set such an example that sinners want to follow Christ as well. it is not your job to put people down or judge them for their mistakes. and personally i got through it because i am strong and i couldnt care less what you say to me i would jus give u a piece of my mind ( an yes god is working on me still) but what about others who aren't so strong? they stop coming to church completely and end up in a worse state than before they went and they were only trying to seek God.

i wud have to agree with kelly..n to "Miss Controversial" Its them same older folk who when they find out yah business they talk it to everyone else in the church so when u confide n them they mite not refuse to help you but they sure ga talk bad about u behind yah bac n wen u cum to church yah see people breakin their neck ta stare you dwn in disgust. I sat in church one day n cudnt help but notice a woman of good age staring a you lady down. i mean she actually watched her go frum the back door straight up to her seat n she was not only looking but glaring at her with an unpleasant...not settling to me look on her face. I was appauled at how BOLD these church people cast their thoughts i cud bascially read her mind with the expression she gave. IT SADD PLZ! SO the church people is the ones hu need to stop bein to busy lookin at other people children n listen ta wat the pastor preachin bout!

I agree with what is being said but i feel its not just church people .....come on now Bahamians in general are popular and well known for gossiping.... how many persons have to deal with gossiping and backbiting at school and at work. and yes it is sad when you have to come to church and deal with it their to but its something that will always occur..... the best thing is to live for God and dont worry about what people (not only the church folks because trust me they aint the only ones who be talking) have to say.
And like i said it isnt all, because when i went through many situations as a teenager, it was church folks that i went to, confided in, and help me out of my situtation.
And we have to becarefull ourselves of what we talk about and who we talk to cause we might all fall into that category of 'having a conversation about the well being of some one else' (gossiping) lol
